The hotel has nice ambience, and is very cool. My room was quite small, we did not have much space to move around with our luggage open. I did not have the chance to check out the bakery and restaurant. The washing machines are connectable via Bluetooth using an app. It is quite a long walk from Shinjuku station. Otherwise, I still feel like it is a nice hotel.
Excellent choice in Shinjuku! The hotel is perfectly located right next to the park and is just a 10-minute walk from the central train station. The service at the front desk was outstanding, the staff speaks excellent English. We also found the facilities on the 2nd floor, including the laundry room and the great restaurant, to be very useful. The culinary options on-site are fantastic, with a wonderful bakery and a tapas restaurant on the ground floor. The staff was incredibly helpful and assisted us with every request we had. It’s a great hotel with a cool vibe and a perfect location for exploring Tokyo. Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere with a young, modern style. There are several common areas suitable for groups, families and couples. The bakery inside the hotel is excellent, offering a wide variety of bread, pastries, and sandwiches, highly recommended!! The espresso at the restaurant/bar area is exceptional. Breakfast is buffet-style and overall adequate for the price. The staff in every area were very friendly and helpful. We requested to send our luggage to a different hotel and they handled it quickly and efficiently. The hotel also provides washing machines and dryers (three of each). Prices are reasonable, although considering the number of guests, having more machines available would be beneficial. The rooms (as in many hotels in the area) are extremely small. We had two large suitcases and one cabin-size suitcase, and it was quite challenging to fit everything inside. The space is very narrow, making it almost impossible to move around the room. And the bed is accessible from only one side... The duvet and pillows could be improved given the overall style and quality of the hotel. Overall cleanliness was good, although we did find some hair in the shower drain… Room cleaning is provided only every three days, with daily towel exchange available upon request.
This is our second stay at the Knot. Unfortunately this one wasn’t a great as the first. We were situated outside the cleaning ammenities room which meant we couldn’t sleep past 7:30. I get that someone has to sleep in those rooms but typically I’d expect short stays to be there. Also, the hotel guests were incredibly loud this time round which is something we did not experience the first stay. The staff were great as always and the location by the park can’t be beat.
This hotel is awesome and the best on our trip to Japan. Absolutely fantastic staff including Arnold, Axl and Ryo who were so professional, friendly with amazing customer service skills. The hotel is in a central location (across from beautiful park and near transport and the Metropolitan building that has spectacular light show and views of Tokyo); it has a fantastic bakery (Sunday Vegan delicious) and cafe/bar on the ground floor (with great menu), rooms are very clean, access to a gym, laundry and big table in lobby for relaxing, working. I will definitely be staying here again! ❤️ Thank you, Jane
